Our goal is simple—to provide outstanding children’s books, tapes and videos in different languages from excellent publishers around the world and offer them to you for purchase here atbookswithoutborders.com. We also want you to have fun while you are shopping and perhaps learn a little bit about the world along the way.

The Bilingual Books features items in English and another language. The only non-book in this area is the Sound Beginnings cassettes which feature six languages. We hope to reorganize this area soon so that it will be sorted by language as some of you have suggested.

The English Shop features mostly U.S. classics ; we also have a selection of educational books from Usborne on a variety of topics. Cory has primary responsibility for this area and is assisted by family members.

The French Shop - we have started with a mixture of classics from Canadian and French authors, as well as Disney to Babar to basic learning language materials. We have added more videos and all our videos are in NTSC (American) format.

The German Shop - we have started with a mixture of classics from German, American and European authors, as well as Disney and basic learning language materials. Most of the videos are in NTSC (American) format, unless they are specifically marked. We can also order a wide variety of PAL (European) format videos if you care to convert them or have a multi-system VCR.

The Italian Shop - this section has been more challenging as we still have only two suppliers of Italian books, but we hope to be adding more soon as we have had numerous inquiries for this area - particularly Italian videos.

The Russian Shop features mostly Russian books, audiotapes and videos published in the Commonwealth of Independent States. We select the materials for this shop with assistance from Jenia, a native of Moscow Russia.

The Spanish Shop is stocked with titles published in Mexico, Spain and the U.S. at this time, including translated works from authors around the world. Cory also buys items for this shop as he lived and worked in Mexico for 1 yr.

The Chinese Shop is being stocked with titles published in China, Taiwan and the U.S. at this time, including translated works from authors around the world. Heidi also buys items for this shop as she lived and worked in Taiwan for most of her life.
